

MATTEO PIROLA
The Italian pianist Matteo Pirola was born in Erba and completed his piano studies at the music conservatory “G. Verdi ”in Como. Exchange semesters took him to the University of Music in Karlsruhe. Matteo Pirola is the winner of several piano and song competitions, including the piano competition “C. Vidusso ”in Milan. After completing his master’s degree, he continued training in accompaniment at the “International Academy of Voice” Cardiff (Wales) and at the “Flanders Opera Studio” Gent (Belgium). He was assistant to the conductor and choirmaster in various opera productions at the “Vlaamse Opera” in Ghent and Antwerp (Belgium) and was professor of the Italian repertoire at the International Opera Academy in Ghent (Belgium). He is currently employed as the deputy director of studies and solo coaching at the Mannheim National Theater.
